‘The Kaleidoscopic Child’
was created in collaboration with the children and early years educators in Ballyogan Community Crèche, in the Samuel Beckett Civic Campus. This collaboration was funded through the Early Years Caterpillar Commission, awarded by DLR County Council, DLR Childcare Committee and Creative Ireland.

‘The Kaleidoscopic Child’ is a multi sensory interactive installation designed with and for early years children. Each of the elements within this installation invites both child and adult alike to twist, spin, build, turn, touch, solve, colour and peer into a world created to mirror the inside of a kaleidoscope without getting too dizzy. This is a portable installation that can be set up and taken down in less than an hour. Workshops can be booked for early years children that further turn their world inside out and upside down. These workshops are suitable for children with complex needs. Once installed it can is available for free-play and exploration with adult supervision.
